Magnolia: Overrated?

On the quest for the best cupcakes in NYC, I'll start with the debate of Magnolia Bakery. If you're not familiar with Magnolia, it's a high-profile bakery in the Village, probably one of the most famous cupcake bakeries in all of NYC, notorious for allowing buyers to purchase no more than twelve cupcakes at a time. I have heard from many people that Magnolia cupcakes are the best you can find... I happen to differ. Magnolia cupcakes are delicious - if you only intend to eat half of a cupcake; they're too rich for one serving and are by far overrated. If you find yourself nearby remember to check out Magnolia Bakery.

On the Runway

Spring runway shows were splattered with bursts of color, chunky accessories, and 3D flowers. But what about the less-glamorous space-age styled couture that was seen on Dolce & Gabbana runways? I hate to say it, but I don't find the form-flaunting armor runway worthy. On the other hand I simply adore Oscar de la Renta's floral prints and fresh dresses adorned with spring blooms from Marchesa and Yves Saint Laurent. The little white dress is the season must have. Clean lines and color contrast always add up for a classy, chic look.
